Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Panel Fastener, Ejector, Latch and Smart Handle Design Engineer and Manufacture Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing panel fasteners, ejectors, latches and smart handles used in a variety of applications mainly in AI Server and Datacenter. This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, a deep understanding of fastening and locking mechanisms, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibility
1) Based on customer inputs, do new panel fasteners, ejectors, latches and smart handles design from concept to sample making & validation to finished products.
2) Visit customer design engineer to understand the first hand information as design inputs.
3) Do concept design and make samples for function validation under supported by manufacturing engineer.
4) Do performance testing and validation under supported by lab engineers.
5) Lock design then create final PEM customer drawing, the sub-components manufacturing drawing and define catalog data.
6) Do current product improvement design for better functionality or manufacturability.
7) Based on customers or market feedback, work with engineers to do current product family continuous improvements.
Requirements:
1) A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred;
2) 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on designing panel fasteners, ejectors, latches, or similar mechanical components. Experience in server industry is highly valued.
3) Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., Pro/E, AutoCAD) and FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Deform). Familiarity with other design and analysis tools may also be beneficial.
4) Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO standards for fasteners. Understanding of basic manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, stamping, Zinc/AL Casting, Powder melt and MIM.
5) Skills to design Cam and Gear in mechanical components and do transfer strengthen calculation.
6) Good communication skills and team work with both customers design engineer and inside manufacturing engineers.
