Job Title: Product Manager / Business Systems Analyst — Digital Platforms
Location: Bangalore, India
Department: Digital AI
Position Summary:
Penn Engineering is building a unified digital platform to transform how customers find, design, quote, and buy. We are hiring a Product Manager / Business Systems Analyst (3–8 years’ experience) to own product definition across the portfolio of customer-facing digital products. This is not a coordination role. You will be responsible for translating customer needs and business workflows into clear,
structured, and build-ready product requirements (Product Requirement Documents – PRDs, and Business Requirement Documents - BRDs) that engineering teams can execute against with speed and confidence.
Key Responsibility
Product Definition & Requirements Ownership
- Own Product Requirement Documents – PRDs, and Business Requirement Documents - BRDs) that define end-to-end behavior — including workflows, edge cases, business rules, and data flows — with zero ambiguity for engineering teams
- Translate customer workflows into end-to-end user journeys
- Define clear system behavior, business logic, and data requirements across platforms
- Ensure requirements are unambiguous, testable, and ready for engineering execution
- Act as the single-threaded owner for requirements on assigned products — accountable for clarity, completeness, and readiness for engineering
- Eliminate back-and-forth translation by delivering requirements that are directly executable by engineering without re-interpretation
User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Quality, and Release Discipline
- Define acceptance criteria and UAT scenarios as non-negotiable inputs to release
- Enforce release discipline — no feature goes live without defined acceptance criteria, UAT coverage, and traceability back to requirements
- Ensure traceability from requirements through testing and release
- Partner with engineering to clarify requirements and eliminate ambiguity during build
Cross-System Orchestration
- Support alignment across CRM (Salesforce), ERP (JDE), Product Information Management (InRiver PIM), eCommerce (Commerce Cloud), Cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services)
- Help standardize customer, product, pricing, and quoting workflows
- Contribute to reusable patterns, not one-off solutions
Customer-Centric Product Thinking
- Translate real customer friction into clear product requirements and improvements
- Actively ground requirements in real customer behavior through tight collaboration with the Customer Experience research team in the U.S.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure what we build is tested and delivers customer outcomes
Requirements:
- 3–8 years experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or similar roles
- Proven experience writing PRDs/BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Strong ability to translate business needs into structured, testable requirements
- Experience working across integrated systems (CRM, ERP, PIM, eCommerce, APIs) preferred
- Comfortable operating in cross-functional, global teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with a US-based digital product company or global product organization
- Experience operating in environments with high product rigor (e.g., Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Apple, SaaS product companies, or similar)
- Exposure to environments where product managers own end-to-end requirements and delivery outcomes, not just documentation
- Experience with customer-centric product development (not purely internal IT delivery)
